Before & After School Care

Great Times is an independently owned childcare provider owned and operated by Trish & Paul Le Prou. Trish and her team have been providing OSCAR approved before and after school care to school communities since 2007.  We look forward to growing with the Ngakoroa school community, incorporating their values with Great Times values to provide an exceptional before and after childcare service to your child/children.

Great Times team pride themselves in creating an environment where the children are welcomed and cared for in a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment. Relationships are built with not only the children but also with their families. 

Our supportive and caring environment fosters the feel of a home away from home for the children attending. All children are treated with dignity and respect. We encourage children through praise to grow self-confidence and self-esteem and celebrate their achievements to feel pride within themselves.

Behaviour is managed with a firm but fair approach. Boundaries are consistent and clear with consequences when required. Be Kind – Our commonly used phrase, Are you being kind? raises awareness that name calling, not sharing, hitting or any type of bullying etc is hurtful and is not tolerated within our programme. Great Times will work with parents/caregivers to rectify any unacceptable behaviour.
